Grasshopper Procession Dessert Plate Set from The Met Museum

Our set of four porcelain dessert plates shows a delightful detail from Freshwater Jar with Procession of Grasshoppers in The Met collection. Set your table in style with this charming set. On the original freshwater jar, the grasshoppers carry flowers in a humorous reference to a procession of feudal lords. This fine example of stoneware was crafted during the late 19th century by Makuzu Közan I (Miyagawa Toranosuke) (Japanese, 1842-1916).
